A new clinical study on the Ventica® EVI® parameter will be published in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology (PAI). The study shows that low EVI is strongly associated with lower airway obstruction in children aged 1-5 years. EVI was measured during hospitalisation due to obstruction and at home after recovery.
This study corroborates the findings of another recently published article (https://doi.org/10.1111/pai.13234), and together they establish EVI as an objective marker of lower airway obstruction in this age group whose lung function is otherwise very difficult to measure.
